“It takes a team”
There’s a lot that goes into a worship gathering, too much for one person. You can TRY and do it all: rehearse songs, type up lyrics, coordinate the message, figure out transitions, that list goes on. Again, you CAN attempt this single-handedly, but rest assured you will find yourself on the wrong side of burnout quickly. Furthermore, and more importantly, the Bible says in Romans 12 that each person is uniquely equipped for what they’ve been called to do, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Different people are gifted in different things, there’s no two ways about it. Intentionally working as a team allows each of those specific gifts to be utilized, builds a cohesion and rapport among the group, and leads to a far better effort in giving Jesus the glory He’s due.
