Our Story
In April of 2021, First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa hosted Worship in the Round, an event designed to bring together leaders from all over the city to lead a night of worship. A few weeks later, Collective began in order to continue that mission: uniting worship leaders so that they can meet one another, learn together, and serve wherever the Lord may call.
Our Team
Jack Powell
The Overseer
Jack was called into worship ministry at the age of 13 when he began to play violin for the youth praise band at Northport Baptist Church. He soon learned to sing and play guitar, which eventually found their way into worship sets. During his time serving on the band, he felt the Lord call him into vocational ministry, which led to the creation of Collective.
Nathan Hannah
The Adviser
Nathan has served in the worship ministry, in some capacity, since 2005. He served as worship leader for the youth and college ministry at Northport Baptist Church and Alberta Church of God, now known as Lifepointe Church Of God. He has played in the orchestra at NBC and been a part of running sound for a number of years.
Samantha Lockett
The Developer
Samantha has been in music ministry for a year, singing for the first time publicly at Worship in the Round in Spring 2022. She is studying civil engineering at The University of Alabama and is a member of the Christian sorority, ADX. She loves serving by organizing events that bring together Christians with different backgrounds and has a heart for encouraging others in their gifts and talents.
Anna Butts
The Designer
Anna is from Dallas, Texas, and got involved in worship ministry as a junior in college at Calvary Tuscaloosa. Along with music, the Lord has been teaching Anna about the heart of worship through visual arts and design. She studies advertising and studio art in undergrad at the University of Alabama and loves to use that in ministry whether it be graphics, photography, or painting.
